Metal Manufactures Port Kembla
Metal Manufactures was fouded in 1916 to manufacture and distribute copper wire and sheet products. [Sydney Morning Herald. 1 Apr 1916 p19] The Company later manufactured copper alloy tubes, brass, stainless steel tube fittings, electrical cables, metal rods, wires, and accessories. The Port Kembla works were built on the site formerly occupied by the Australian Smelting Company. [The Sun. 10 Feb 1917 p4]
