DYMOCK, David Lindsay

David Lindsay Dymock (1839-1937) was born in Scotland but spent most of his his life in NSW primarily in the Jamberoo-Kiama area.   He was a dairy farmer and a well-known auctioneer.  Known as DLD, Dymock actively promoted the benefits of dairy farmers establishing co-operatives for the processing and sale of their milk and its by-products.  He was active in the local community and promoted a road over the Jamberoo Mountain to Moss Vale via Robertson, and was captain of the Jamberoo Volunteer Rifle Corps. In 1873 he served on the Church of England school board and was involved in the erection of the Jamberoo Presbyterian Church.
